The XLC PD-S05 System Pedal Road is a single-sided, SPD-compatible system that is ideal for use on road bikes where you want a reliable, stable pedal stroke for maximum power output. Constructed from a reliable aluminum body and cage and with a material steel (CroMo) axle, the pedals weigh a light 255 g. The PD-S05 has a cassette axle bearing and a 9/16 inch thread.

A click system like the XLC PD-S05 system pedal has the advantage that more maximum power is available for a short time. This means that this type of pedal provides reliability, stability and pedaling efficiency compared to other types of pedals when e.g. tackling steep climbs.
